Save the Child Initiative (STCI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with Women Right Advancement Protection Alternative (WRAPA), to implement United Nation Spotlight Initiative Project in Sokoto state. The project is aimed at reducing the incidence of Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV), and providing support for survivors of SGBV in the state. Save the Child Initiative will be strengthening the capacity of local groups selected from Binji, Sokoto North, Tangaza and Bodinga LGAs of Sokoto state, collaborate and network with state actors and security operatives. Activities implemented during the quarter under review include:
- Conducted a 2-day communication skill training technical session for content development for effective engagement with faith and cultural leaders, men and boys to improve reportage and documentation for VAWG/SGBV/HP/SRHR on a sustained basis.
- Organized a 2-day end of project monitoring and evaluation Meeting with state and non-state actors.
- Conducted focus group discussion (FGD) with state and non-state actors in Sokoto state.
