Save the Child Initiative continued with implementation of activities under cohort 4 of the project and also signed contract extension to implement cohort five of the project across 20 Non-Formal Learning Centre in Wurno LGA of Sokoto state. The organization is presently working in 10 Non Formal Learning Centres under cohort 4 of the project and 20 Non-Formal Learning Centre under cohort 5 of the project in Wurno LGA of Sokoto state. Achievements during the quarter under review include:
- The organization successfully conducted final exams for learners in Cohort 4 learning centres (8 NFLCs, 2 AGLCs) across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Distributed and tracked Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), in cohort 5 learning centers (12 NFLCs, 8 AGLCs) across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Monitored and supervised 20 centers (12 NFLCs, 8 AGLCs) across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Conducted women group meeting to review the number/effectiveness of their house to house visit across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Weekly house to house visit by women group members where they visited 542 households across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Conducted community dialogue with youth across Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Conducted palace visit and influencers meeting across Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Women group members reached 3,611 community stakeholders consisting of 1,565 males and 2,042 females across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Conducted CBMCs meeting across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Monitored Community Resource Centres activities/reading competitions across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Program officers successfully tracked 390 houses visited by women groups across Kwargaba, Marafa, Tunga, Dimbiso, Dinawa and Chacho/Marnona Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
- Women group members successfully held community outreaches with community women from households in Marafa and Dinawa Wards of Wurno LGA of Sokoto state.
