International Children’s Day dates back to 1925 when the world community got together in Geneva to talk about the well being of children. In Nigeria, The 27th of May every year is set aside to Mark the day. Save the child Initiative Sokoto office marked the day at Ibrahim Dasuki Primary School, Sokoto with the theme “Rights as Children: The importance and significance of a child cannot be over emphasized “ featuring pupils from Ibrahim Dasuki primary school, Federal staffs schools and Gagi primary school

STCI Abuja office marked the day at LEA Primary School, Jikoko on 27th May 2017. The event featured pupils from selected primary school.
