Save the Child Initiative (STCI), signed a sub-agreement with Society for Women Development and Empowerment in Nigeria (SWODEN), to implement the Enhancing Maternal Nutrition in Northern Nigeria through Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) Supplementation and Nutrition Counselling in Sokoto South and Gwadabawa LGAs of Sokoto state. The following were achieved during the quarter under review.
- Support and commitment of Gatekeepers and Duty bearers successfully guaranteed for the successful implementation of the project in Sokoto South and Gwadabawa LGAs of Sokoto state.
- The organization successfully mapped out Gagi PHC, Mana gidan Dahala PHC and Yar’akija PHC in Sokoto South LGA and Munlaila PHC and Chancha PHC in Gwadabawa LGA as PHCs that will benefit from the intervention in Sokoto state.
The organization successfully carried out Stakeholders planning meeting on BCI Strategy, uptake of IFA and Zinc Lo-ORS in collaboration with FACE_PAM where 18 stakeholders consisting of 1 4males and 4 females participated.
